The ostrich is the world largest bird which can able to run speed than any other birds in the world. Motherland of this species are in Africa. And it lives in the place of deserts, savannas and dry grassland areas with few trees.

  1. Ostrich appeared in the world for 70 to 120 million years ago.
  2. More than 40 species and almost 2 million ostrich birds are living in the world.
  3. The eyes of ostriches are much bigger than its brain.
  4. It can able to grow up to 9 feet height and weight as 300 pounds
  5. Male ostrich is called as roosters and females are known as hen.
  6. They can able to kick only forward. By using its strong kicks they kill its prey easily.
  7. Single kick of ostrich can able to defeat the king of beasts.
  8. Ostriches are the only bird that has two toes on each foot.
  9. Ostriches are the type of bird, but it can’t able to fly due to its bad conditions of wings.
  10. They can able to run at the speed of 50 km/hr. Due to the help of its muscular legs, they run fast.

Owls


Owls

Owls are being in the world for 70 to 80 million years and its name derived from the Greek word “tuto”. Owls are living in deserts and rocky areas, which made its nest in the holes of trees in barns on the ground.

  2. European Engle owl is the largest owl in the world. They are 75 centimeter long.
  3. Owls have the capability to shift its color of eyes for hunting in different time.

  5. The smallest species of owl is Elf owl, which is 11 -13 cm long.

Lowland gorillas

  3. Males weight up to 300 to 600 pounds, but females are smaller its weight up to 154 -300 pounds.
  4. Wild lowland gorillas eat leaves, shoots, pith, stems, and fruits.
  5. In zoo life’s they eats veggies, fruits, and primate biscuits.
  6. Well grown males develop silver colored fur on their backs.
  7. Lowland gorillas have opposable thumbs on their hands.
  8. They have black with a brownish tinge, and reddish brown cap on the top of its head.
  9. Mostly they live in a group which contain adult silver, black male and with several adult females.
  10. Each family of this species has 2 to 35 members.
  11. The only enemy of this species is leopards.
  12. After completing the 8 years, females are ready for it matured. Like as females, males too have its age limit up to 15 years.
  13. Female’s gestational period is 259 to 290 days and its gives single infant as the weight up to 1.8 to 2.3 kg.
  14. New born babies take care of its mother.
  15. Infant start its first crawl in 9 weeks and walk in the period of 30 to 40 weeks.
  16. They eat 40 pounds of veggies per day.
  17. In wild, gorilla lifespan up to 50 years.

Flying Squids

  4. You can’t find flying squids in warm water that more than 27 degrees Celsius.

  8. In the mating season this species generally migrate to the East China Sea, Kyushu and Sea of Japan.

  13. Flying squids are mostly eaten by the people of Negros Island, Philippines.
